ROUNDING THE MARK
18"  Sloop model

This model is of a sloop rounding the mark and just getting ready to set the spinnaker. The model has a full interior below decks, the captain and a deck hand in the cockpit and two crew members up forward, one raising the spinnaker and the other bringing up the spinnaker pole.

The model is all scratch built of wood, brass and cloth for the sails. This is a very nice model and has been jurried, accepted and shown at the Coos Art Museum, 5th annual marine art exhibit and the Newport Nautical Museum. It's appraised value is much greater than the sale price of $ 2,600.
